We the king family are currently battling an illness that has stricken our family. Its no fun having sick kids. Adi has a fever and a cough and Kohen has a cough. Both Juline and I are feeling the effects of the bug as I feel like I am walking around in a haze all the time, and Juline has a few pains here and there.

I think the wort part is that every one's sleep pattern is off. Adi keeps waking up at 6 am saying " its not nigh night time anymore" And last night Koehn was up every hour on the hour.

We are ready for this to be over.

Well it finally snowed and Adi was able to get out and play. For christmas her Aunt Jannae and Uncle Brady got her Snow pants and Boots. She was so exciting (that's how she says it) to go out and play. The snow was to light for a snowman but we did make a few snowballs.

Best and Worst of 07

I am going to do a end of the year best and worst list. This will be a list of a few of my favorite films of the last year and a few of the worst. I didn’t get a chance to see a lot of films this year, there are still a few movies that I want to see on DVD. But as for now here you go.

1. 300, I just loved this movie, from the way that it was filmed to the lead actor it was just amazing. We will see big things from its director Zack Snyder His next film will be the cult comic The Watchmen in 09. I have written about how much I liked the 300 before.

2. No country for old men. WOW, I loved this movie on an entirely different level then the 300. Made by the Coen brothers (Fargo) the movie was a gripping take on the novel of the same name. The acting is amazing. Javier Bardem gives a film performance on par with Anthony Hopkin’s Hanniabl Lecter. Tommy Lee Jones will get an award for his role as the town cop that can't believe the way his world is changing.

3. Zodiac. Who could make an entertaining film based on an unsolved case about a serial killer? David Fintcher, that’s who. The camera work on this movie is amazing. They are releasing a 2 DVD directors cut of this film next month and I can’t wait to pick it up.

4 Hot Fuzz , From the guys that brought us Shaun of the Dead, comes the funniest film of the last year. I love the humor and the action in this kind of send up of action films. In The lead actors are just so much fun to watch it made the whole film a roar for me.

5. Harry Potter 5 I like Harry.

Least favorite films of 07

When it comes to movies that I don’t like I pretty much know what I won’t like. I am not going to run out and see Lindsy Lohans latest pile of garbage. But I do have a wife and she likes herself a chick flick. So understand that I might not have wanted to see these films. None of them were in the theater.

Rescue Dawn, I like Christian Bale, I really like him But wow this film was garbage. Starring Bale and Steve Zhan. Rescue dawn is the true story of a Vietnam pilot that gets shot down on his first mission. Then he lives a few years as a POW. Then get rescued.

This movie shows the direct relation of how a poor director can ruin a film. Warner Herzog is the guy that made GrizzlyMan, a documentary that was decent. But he did nothing with a great cast and a great premise for a film. What I don’t get was the buzz about this film it got good reviews but I just can’t see why. I havent disliked a film more in a long time.

Last Kiss, My wife and I like Zach Braff he’s funny on Scrubs but wow what a crap film this was. The movie is about a guy that finds out that his girlfriend is pregnant with his kid and he has a mid-mid life crisis. So he goes and hooks up with a younger chick. Throw in some of his wacky always naked friends that there you go. Stay away.

Waitress, I thought I was going to like this film it was cute and well put together but on a moral ground I hated it. The main character is a you guessed it a waitress that makes great pies and has a A hole of a husband. Well she get knocked up when she was drunk by said husband. As she meet her new Gyno she falls in love and they have a love affaire. My problem with the film is that the doctor is married and she wasn’t a bad wife. So that ruined the whole movie for me.

License to wed We just rented this a few weeks back and I didnt hope for much more then a stupid laugh for two. I didnt even get one out. Really lame unfunny and just stupid. I thought that Jim from the Office would make a better film but NO just another pile of garbage. Here is a Question when did Robin Williams last make a funny movie?

These movies are just bad. I am sure that there are a few more out there but these all came to mind.

So I am kind of a Jerk. Well most people know that I have a jerk side that comes out quickly. Last night the family and I pull into Target to do some shopping. I pulled into the parking stall straight as an arrow. But the car next to me was not even close. I am trying to get the little one out of the car and I can’t as this jerk driver is too close. I expressed “I can’t get the baby out because this Jerk doesn’t know how to park” As soon as I was done yelling I hear the click of the very same car’s auto lock unlock the doors. I look and see some lady walk over and get in the car. I ducked my head and walked around the other side of our car. Oops. Now if the lady had said something I am sure that I would have spoken up. She didnt so this was a tuck tail moment for me. Later after Target we went thru the drive thru and I was a jerk to the teller.(Some dumb kid that had no clue how to hand me a hamburger.)

I didn’t look so good at the end of the day. I don’t really care, I speak my mind, Yes I might get punch thrown at me one time or another but I guess I will just have to deal with that when the time comes.

Okay so I had a hole in my work schedule and there was a 4 hour block of dead time between Apts. I was in a mall doing some window shopping and saw that the movie Beowulf was playing in 3-D. Now I didn't think that I was ever going to see Beowulf in the theater but here was the perfect time to see it and in 3-D even. Why not?

This was my first time viewing a real 3-D movie. I grew up with cheap 3-D blue and red glasses. But this new update was a big change. You even get to keep the glasses.

I grew up knowing the story of Beowulf, my father read the story to me as a little one. When I heard that a movie was going to be made in the Polar express fashion I wasn't over joyed. I didn't see Polar Express as I thought the characters looked dead. I took a chance with Beowulf.

The chance paid off as the opening titles started I said out loud “Well this works”. I was quickly caught up in the 3-D experience, there were so many parts that looked so real that I felt that I was going to be burned by flames or shot by an Arrow.

If you get a chance to see this in 3-D take it. I give the movie alone 2 ½ stars and with the 3-D 4 stars.

I have heard that old films are going to be remade in 3-D. Star Wars would be awesome.

Coming Home

Kohen and Mommy are home and Adi was so happy to meet her little brother. Kohen was able to come home in and with the King family bunting. All the babies born in the King family came home from the hospital in this pink bunting.All of them from the my father to me to Kohen and all the others inbetween. We couldn't put him in the car seat wearing it but it was with him the whole way home.

Update Kohen will be out of the NICU tomorrow. The hole was a tiny hole in his lung and its fixed itself. We couldn't be happier.

Kohen and Mom are doing great. They had to take Kohen to the NICU because he was having a hard time breathing. They found a very very small hole in his lung that was making it hard for him to breath. Now he is doing great and already nursing. He will be out of the NICU tomorrow. As you can see he is a Prince of men. The hole quickly fixed itself and he is doing great.

I was working this past week and something odd happened to me. It was a very surreal experience for me. I ran into a gas station to grab a drink(Mt Dew if you must know)and as I went to pay I was taken back as the teller was speaking to me in some sort of language that I did not understand. I looked at her and said " I don't understand you" she kept talking and talking. I was the only other person in the store so I gave her my 1.50 and then I saw that her hair covered her blue tooth headset. I was relieved that she wasn't talking to me but I did feel like an ass.

I really hate the head sets I like to know that when someone's hand is up by their face then they are on a call, or if they are talking to themselves that they are just plain old crazy.

You ever have a moment when you think that everything is just going wrong ? I Had a moment like that today, I guess you could call it a panic attack. I didn't break down or anything.
I was driving and everything the I have on my plate as a father husband and human came crashing down on me. I look back on it in a weird way. I mean were okay the kids are alright. We have food and a place to live and Tivo. There isn't much we want for. I don't know why I felt so much weight at that moment.

I am sitting my our bed here with a lot on my mind. My wife says that I freak out too much and that I need to relax but right now I have a ear ache and it really hurts.

Movie troubles

My wife and I were able to go and see the third Bourne film the other day. We are not able to see many movies and we have been lucky enough to see 2 movies in the last 2 weeks. Harry Potter 5 and Bourne 3. Well I have to say this was the worst movie experience of my life.

When my wife and I sat down we had good seats near the back as it’s a shake cam fest with the Bourne films, after the trailers started a couple sat down in front of us . The woman started talking and making comments. Then we both caught a very foul smell. My wife said “lets move” I agreed and we moved closer to the screen. Well this proved to be no better.

Behind us was an older couple that didn’t know how to whisper. I shushed them a few times and did others, freaking old people! Then sitting a few seats over from my wife sat a lady that was constantly cracking her knuckles and rubbing her hands together. She would do this at a tense time in the film so it was constant. Then behind me there was a couple that would talk when the action would pick up and try to talk to Jason to help him out.

These people should be killed. I should have been able to shoot every one of these people in the head with no legal recourse. Bang Bang. Bang. I paid way too much to see that fick to have these A holes ruin every second of the film for me. So I am done. I am done seeing films that are new in the theater I am either going to wait until they are on DVD or at least in the theater 3 weeks or get the bootleg.

I know why movies are not making as much money as they did a few years ago it because of people like these.

SO aside from the jerks the movie was really good.

Its been a long time and I still have a few more things to share about myself.I wrote most of this long ago but never put it up. No pitures this post, I know lame maybe I will add a few later

39. I was scared by a bum named Andy. Andy the Bum was a bum that walked around my neighborhood when I was a kid. He was a dark skinned man, either he was Indian or was out in the sun a lot. He had bleach blonde hair down to his shoulders and white sun glasses. I remember finding out that his name was Andy. My friend Josh told me that if you yell out Andy he will look around for someone calling his name. And we tested it and it worked. Kind of mean now that I look back on it, but everyone knew Andy the bum.

38. My favorite film is Fight club. It came out when I was on my mission, but I was able to enjoy it on DVD when I got home. Directed by my Favorite director its a messed up guys only film. It has some of the best camera work ever. Its not a movie that I would ever want my mom to watch but I think that every guy should watch it.

37. My sister says that I make up a lot of stories, She would often say " Like that time you got your head stuck in the banister?" Well we didn't have a banister. I still don't know why she said this, any of my stories can be back up by at least one person. Me.

36.Even though I was attacked by a girl in kindergarten I never had my 1st real kiss until I was 22. I never had a girlfriend. I always wanted one but it never worked out. see my next few entries to see why.

35.I had braces for 5 years. Yep I got them damn things on in the 7th grade and they didn't come off until the end of my junior year. It was mostly my fault, I never did what the doctor said to do, like wear my rubber bands. I think that I could have shaved a year off if I wasn't a stupid kid. My mouth was a mess. I had to have 4 teeth pulled even before the braces were put on and I had a tooth behind my front teeth. But my teeth are much better then before and are still pretty straight.

34. I was short and chunky in high school. I was a late bloomer for sure. while everyone was growing and voices were changing. I just stayed the same. So after high school I grew and grew and grew a bit more on my mission. I was 5'10 when I was 16 and I was 6'4 when I came home from my mission. I am very grateful for my height. Its something that I value a lot. I know that I kinda earned it by putting up with a lot of crap in high school.

33. I wasn't the most out going guy in high school. I stayed to myself and my friends. I didn't travel out of my selected friends. I wasnt with any click in the school. I went on dates but I was never asked to any of the girl choice dances. I am not bitter as most of the girls were sluts and I didn't want to put myself in a place where I would compromise my values. When I got back from my mission I was a different person when it came to being social. I became more of a people person and opened up.

32. So going back to #36 My first real kiss was when I was 22 I can't remember her name. It was a set by my sister . She was young and lied to me about her age. She was 17 and told me that she was 18 and out of high school but she was just starting her Sr year. I knew that I would never see her again so I just went for it and we made out. It was nice. I still kinda feel bad about the whole thing, after me her life fell apart, poor kid.

31. I have met a few famous people in my day. I have met Adam Duritz and the band Counting Crows. Tom Morello the lead guitar from Audioslave and Rage. I met Dennis Rodman and Vince Neil at a club in LA. I met Charles Gibson the ABC news anchor on a flight to Utah. Just this week I saw Paul Teutul Sr, The dad from American Chopper at a Wal mart in Orange county NY , I didn't talk to him because he could rip me in half. I saw Josh Hartntte and Scarlett Johanson on the streets of NY, ( they walked right by us and the wife spotted them.)

30. I sleep on my stomach. If I don't sleep on the right side or on my back I snore.

29. I love Mt Dew, I don't drink it much anymore to keep it special. Also I don't want diabetes.

28. My Pets. I have had a few pets in my life time Rags was our dog for a long time. He followed my sister home from school and we took him in. He got cancer and had to be put down. Baby Georgie was a Mag Pie that I stole from a nest behind my school. He was loud and stank somthing nasty but he would dive bomb the neighbors so I liked him. He went back to his own kind. We had a few cats, Baxter, Bo, and Datoka. Baxter and Bo disappeared. and Datoka was givin away. Dakota hated me, but he had reason. He was often target practice for my dart guns. I always wanted a dog of my own but my dad said " when you get back from your mission I will buy you any dog you want." I am still waiting for that promise. Juline and I got Roxy and loved her for years. She now lives with her grandparents in Utah. She wasn't welcome at our new place. but were glad that she is still in the family.

27. I don't like Helen Hunt. I think she is ugly and not believable in her roles. I am glad that she hasn't made any films for a long time. In the year 2000 she was in 4 major films and stunk them all up. Cast Away was ruined by her. There is no way that Tom Hanks would get off that island for her. Oh and I really hate Helen Hunt jr , Leelee Sobieski.

26.I Love the band Counting Crows. I have seen them live in concert 5 times and have met most of the band. I fell in love with them in high school. The lead singer looks like a weirdo. A white guy with dreds just doesn't work. But man that guy can write a great song.

25.I hate Oprah and everything that she does. I don't like how everyone thinks that she is a great person. Yes she started a school in Africa but do people understand how much money this woman is worth? A school in Africa couldn't have set her back more then 5 million. She makes that much money a week. Lets see her do something in this country. There are plenty of people that need help like that here. Also she unmarried and tells married women what to do and how to think, and they follow. Its just not right. So to hell with her and her book club and her stupid friend Gail. Oh and just because it was on the Oprah show doesn't make it fact.

24. When I was 8 years old my King grandparents took me to the Sizzler. It was just them and me. It was after my birthday. I loved shrimp so I got the all you can eat shrimp platter. Well every time the waitress would come and ask if I wanted more shrimp I would say "Yes" and my grandfather would cringe . I think that he thought that he was going to have to pay for each shrimp that I ate, not knowing that he had already paid.

23.I like to go shopping .I am able to go shopping and not buy a thing. For many this is a hard thing to do. I think this has a lot to do with going shopping with dad during the summer break. We would wake up eat breakfast get ready then head past Ogden and Hit Smith and Edwards, we would look at the guns the horse tack, then the fishing stuff then back to the guns for a second look. Then we would go to Kent’s and look at more guns.

22.After Kent’s we would make it to the DI , this is my dads Mecca. The plan was to go in back look at the toys and out door stuff then to the books, then the men’s fashion. I never liked the last part. After we were done with O town we would hit a few pawn shops on the way back home. Mostly we would never buy a thing. Sometimes my dad would pick up a dress shirt or 5.

21.My dad is the best dressed man I know. He owns more dress shirts then there are days in a year. I am not kidding. Next time I am back in there neck of the woods I am going to take all of my dads shirts and lay them out in their yard and see how much yard I can cover. I bet I can get the whole yard covered with nicely pressed, stiffly starched shirts.

55.I can't stand cooked fruit, I am not a huge fruit guy in the first place, but cooked fruit just freaks me out. I can't even look at apple pie. Once when I was on my mission we had a diner apt at a member’s home after dinner the wife of house offered my comp and I some pie. I asked what kind it was and she said Apple. Instead of politely saying no, i just shook my head no. I was such a rude elder, but there was no way I was going to eat it. Oh I do like the crisp part of apple crisp.

54. I think that the band Nickelback is the worst pile of soft rock crap in the history of music. It is also the worst thing to come out of Canada. If you like Nickelback you need help. GO BACK TO CANADA NICKEBACK YOU SUCK!

53. The worst movie that I have ever had the displeasure of seeing was the pile of garbage known as Unbreakable. I remember the trailers for this film thinking that it was going to be wonderful. I mean from the guy that made the 6th sense. How could it be bad? Well this 106 minuets of Crap was and still is the worst movie ever. I mean come on Nothing happen and Nothing happens so slowly it makes you want to die. And the ending Wow what a shocker. It was the black dude that did everything. WOW. Amazing. M Night is a one trick pony and hopefully will never make another film again.

52. I had a Horse of my Own her name was Sissy and I loved her. She died after having her for 2 weeks. Best horse my dad ever owned. Got a hunt out of her and didn’t have to feed her during the winter.

48. When I got back from my mission I spent a lot of time looking for Mrs. Right. I dated a lot of different girls. The one thing that I learned about my self is that I wanted what I couldn’t have. Once I went on a date with a girl that I had talked to a few times but never met. Well it was an okay date. I met her parents and I knew people that they knew, We went to dinner and it was all okay. I wasn’t knocked off my feet or anything. Well at the end of the date as we were driving around she told me that she was still dating a guy, and that I was her date to get back at the guy. Now most sane people would be mad and kick her butt out of the car, But not me, at that point I wanted her more. She became cuter and more appealing. Crazy right ?
This girl that used me to get back at her boyfriend just became an obsession. It never went anywhere as I kind of said some stupid stuff to her but How weird was I ? The was a common trend in my dating life, I liked to chase, until I just got sick of dating and games and gave it up for 2 months then my wife showed up and it was all over

47 .I wanted to be Robin Hood when I was younger; my dad got me a bow and arrow set when I was very young. Not a bow and dart set, The real deal. We used to shoot our bows in the front yard. I got pretty good. I took a Archery class during the summer at E.G. King well at the end of a class we had a shooting contest and I won a Peter Piper pizza. Hot stuff. Just last summer we went to a min golf park area, they had a bow and arrow shooting rang and it all came back to me and I won another prize.

45. My dad is awesome. He’s a cowboy as I have said before. But he’s also a honest man. My dad always taught me right from wrong and to be funny and have fun. He taught me to hunt and fish. My dad taught me to never be scared of anyone. At one of my summer jobs I worked with an A hole and he thought it would be funny to call work ask for me and tell me that he was going to kill me. This freaked me out. I told my dad and he said "what gun do you want to carry around the 44 mag or the 357"?

43. My dad is the toughest guy I know. He punched a horse once. We were hunting and I was on a horse that wasn’t cooperating so my dad leaned back on his horse and punched mine right in the face. Awesome. Don't mess with my dad.

42. My grandpa on my mothers side was named Glenn. He was very kind and loving. He owned a bike shop and sold schwin bikes. When I was little he would push in his thumb and the skin would defalte, then slowly fill back up again. I thought this was the coolist thing I had ever seen a old person do. His wife Edna was funny old gal. she died when I was young and I don't have many memories of her, But I do remember her swearing. And I will never forget the sound of her voice. She could have done voiceover work for cartoons.

41. I love to tickel my little girls tummy. I am doing that right now as she is sleeping next to me. If you tickel her softly enough she will be asleep in no time.

40. I can't sleep past 7:30. My eyes are always open at 7:30. I can roll over and get a few more winks in but not much. My wife and kid could sleep all day. On the weekend the time from 7:30 to 10:00 is Jeff time. I watch TV, play video games, write on the blog. But I get bored and want to play so I go wake the two up.

69.I am a reader, I remember being a kid and in the summer time staying up all night reading books. I really enjoy a fast paced book. Enders game by Orsen Scott Card is my all time Favorite. I have read it many times. I also really like Stephen King. He's a great writer.

68.I love singing to my daughter. Wheels on the bus, is a favorite of hers. Also she likes the Itsy bitsy spider, and popcorn popping. Now that shes getting bigger shes able to sing a lot of the words herself, AWESOME.

65. I played war when I was a kid. A lot of war. Yep toy guns were my life. I had the good old kind of toy guns that looked real. Today if you get a toy gun it’s got some neon paint job or something to make it look fake, well as a Kid I would paint over the neon parts and make it look real. I would like to play war again sometime.

63. My dad told us kids that he shot Santa, and that Disneyland burned down. He also put a note on our front door telling Santa that we were bad kids and that he should not come to our house. My dad has a way with kids.

62. Censorship: My first form of censorship was in the form of a blanket. This blanket was used to mask the filth of nakedness from my young eyes by being put over the TV during these nasty spots of a normally good film.

61.I went to EG King elementary school k-6. I have a lot of memories of fun and humiliation from good old EG King. I loved the sledding hills in the winter. I remember the time a baby calf died in the field and smelled something nasty. We also dug up a huge rock and dropped it on the calf, The sound it made is something that I will never forget. I remember the fights, Bobby A. One punch to the face and he was done. (one of my proudest moments) The kisses. Cheylynn (sp?) The blood, 36 stitches in my eye brow, (I love the scar). The teachers, Brownie, Bundy, Barber, Baronholtz, Nelison, Prittcett, Scofield. It was a good school.

60. I love to eat, I think that burgers are my most favorite food in the world. I would take a great burger over a great steak any day. In and Out makes the best burgers in the fast food world. Sadly they are a WEST coast only joint. I have made Fatburger a replacement, really good burgers and great fries, but you have to make your own fry sauce. Hot dogs are good too. I used to eat corn dogs all the time on my mission, Like 2 everyday. I can't eat them anymore.

59. I have to have Chips, Yes more on food but I cannot eat a sandwich with out chips or fries or something along with the sandwich. I don't know why this is but it’s a must. Example. I got a free sandwich the other day. An amazing Pastrami and mustard on rye but I didn’t have chips. I made a run to a gas station and got some chips. I was good to go.

58.I have never been much of a trouble maker. I did get suspended from school for fighting, the time I got beat up. But that was about it. Well at least that's what I got caught doing. I never stole anything as a kid; I was with others that did. I never drank or smoked, I was with others that did. .I always did a good job of either not getting caught or not doing anything bad. I will admit that I was with a friend and we broke a window of his house as we were throwing knives at each other in his back yard. The window broke and we took a ball and replaced the knife with it. As we would get into less trouble with a ball then a knife. It worked. Boys will be boys.

57. I knew that Santa wasn't real at a young age. I was a good kid and my best friend was no better then me. Well one year for Christmas I got some great presents. ( Again I am great full to my parent and the things they did for me) But that friend of mine got the G.I. Joe Aircraft carrier The biggest damn toy ever made. The thing was awesome and bigger then my bed. But I put a few things together and knew that there was no Santa. It was probably time.

56. Star wars was a big part of my childhood. When my friend and I would get together we would play star wars. I was Luke, Josh was Solo. and his little sister that just Had to play was the princess. what a pain she was. I still like Star Wars. It was a big part of my childhood but I am not a freak about it. I do have all my old toys.

79. I have worked every type of job. Paper route, Pizza joint Taco Time, babysitter, Sam's club (head cart boy) . I worked for a company that did outsourceing for a few different internet tech support. Then I sold my soul for AOL for five years. Now I sale Solar power.

78. I could write a book about the dating stories that I have. The worst date I went on was a blind date. She looked like a ompa loopa and didn't shut up the whole night. All she talked about was her ex. Its a good thing that I didn't take offense to the date as I really should have been offended that a friend would think I would be compatible with that troll.

77. My first car was a 1980 Mustang it was poo brown. It had the same engine as the ford pinto. You would think that a mustang would always be cool. Nope. This car was driven by all the kids in my family. It was a fun car. And it was a car. ( I don't want my parent to think I wasn't grateful.)

74. I have been in 3 car accidents. 2 on my mission, the car was being driven by my companions both times. They both thought they were race car drivers. The third was my fault I ran into a short bus with my truck. I don't think I have ever been so mad. My mom was there and said that she could hear the swearing a block away.

73. I had a lot of friends growing up, Josh, Craig, Tyson, Brad, Chris, Rob. They were all friends or evil enemies at one time or another. I think that I go into the most trouble with Craig. I saw Chris at my 10 year high school reunion he is doing well. I just got a hold of Josh awhile ago. Its fun to see old friends.

72. My dad and grandfather are true cowboys. My grandpa was named Cecil. He scared me. But he was a softy.

" They are everywhere" is a often heard comment . I shave everyday and my five o'clock shadow is more like a 3:30 shadow. I am also going gray. I do keep a bit of hair on my chin but just to hide my double chin.

70. I save all the movie stubs from the films that I see in the theater. I have done this since 1994. The first movie that I saved was Mavrick starring Mr. Mel Gibson.

100. I hate tomatoes, More than anything else is the world, I just hate them. I think this comes from having to eat BLT's made in the summer in a hot house. GROSS. I get sick just looking at someone eating a tomato.

99. I like driving, Its a way to get away from the world, Just sit and drive and listen to some tunes or talk radio. I think a lot when I drive, its me time ... Jeff time.

98. When I am in the shower each morning I think about the stupid things I did in high school. I don't know why I do this but every freaking morning I think about something that I said or did that was stupid. Just the other day I was thinking about a time when I was listing to a CD player in a class and the music was so loud that everyone in the class knew that I had it and the teacher was giving a speech. How rude was I to sit there and listen to The Crow soundtrack.

97. I love guns. I miss shooting my guns. Being in New Jersey has been a real drag with the super nut gun laws. My dad told me the other night that he was down at our "ranch" shooting some of gods creatures and I was super sad that I couldn't join in the destruction.

So the wife and I made it out to see the third and Super long spiderman 3. I loved the other 2 films the 1st being my Favorite of the 2. The over hyped 3rd film comes in last.

Its SO long.. I think that Kristen Dunsts must have had a more screen time clause in her contract. I never liked her as Mary Jane in the first place. She really is just in this film too much. I wanted more Sandman and more Venom. I even liked Harry Osborn this go around.

Did I say that it was Long. I wanted this to be more then it was but I am sure that it will make a ton of money but I think that it will top out quickly and not make its budget at 230 million back.

Next films that are coming out are, Shrek 3 Priates 3 and Harry potter 5

I think I am looking forward to Harry potter 5 the most right now.

Well this weekend I was able to see a few movies. I saw Zodiac and The 300.

I want to talk about the 300 first. I am putting this out there. ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES I HAVE EVER SEEN! Its by far in my top 3 movies of all time. (Fight Club, Lord of the Rings, 300) Yes this movie is that good. I hate to over hype this film but WOW.

The story is amazing the acting is great.But the visuals stand out they are AMAZING.

I also loved Zodiac. This one is a totally different film from 300. Directed by David Fintcher, this man is a perfect at his art.I found myself enjoying the techinal filming of this film rahter then the story. The story was strong don't get me wrong but I had read about the Zodiac killings before seeing the film and new what was going to happen, but I still enjoyed the film. Its no Fight Club but it was better then Panic Room or The Game.

Well last night was my Super bowl. I enjoyed the show. I wasn't hoping for anything special. The only movie that I had seen was the departed, so I was rooting for it to win, And it did. It was also time for Martin Scorsese, he should have won years ago for Goodfellas.

It was amazing to see Spielberg, Lucas and Coppola all on the stage at the same time to give an award to Scorsese.

Well the Departed was a good movie. Its the kind of film that you like, but wouldn't want your mother to see.

At 44, Mr. Fincher remains Hollywood's reigning bad-boy auteur, and his impatience with meddling has become as famous as his tendency to test his actors' patience, stamina and preparation. But not as famous as his films, the most celebrated among them "Se7en," the 1995 thriller that grossed $350 million worldwide, and "Fight Club," his over-the-top answer to young male anomie.

After five years of withdrawing from one project after another, Mr. Fincher will present "Zodiac," about the serial killer who terrorized San Francisco in the late 70s, on March 2. Then, in 2008, comes "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," the screenwriter Eric Roth's epic reimagining of F. Scott Fitzgerald's story about a man who ages in reverse. (Of more interest to some fans, "Benjamin Button" will reunite him with the star of "Se7en" and "Fight Club," Brad Pitt , and amounts to a sharp turn for Mr. Fincher into romanticism.)

To trim "Zodiac" to just over two and a half hours, Mr. Fincher said he had to make painful cuts. Gone, for example, is a two-minute blackout over a montage of hit songs signaling the passage of time from Joni Mitchell to Donna Summer; in its place, artless but quick and cheap, are the words "Four years later."

Mr. Fincher has always been outspoken, but if he takes this movie a little more personally, there's a reason: For him, the Zodiac murderer, who terrorized the Bay Area and was never caught, isn't just any old serial-killer story.

Raised in Marin County, Mr. Fincher was only 7 when the area was seized with fear in 1969. "I remember coming home and saying the highway patrol had been following our school buses for a couple weeks now," he recalled in December in an interview in New Orleans, where he was editing "Zodiac" while filming "Benjamin Button." "And my dad, who worked from home, and who was very dry, not one to soft-pedal things, turned slowly in his chair and said: 'Oh yeah. There's a serial killer who has killed four or five people, who calls himself Zodiac, who's threatened to take a high-powered rifle and shoot out the tires of a school bus, and then shoot the children as they come off the bus.' "

"I was, like, 'You could drive us to school,' " he recalled thinking.

It was that same sense that initially drew him to "Se7en," he said: the fearsome power of the stranger among us. "That's what Zodiac was for a 7-year-old growing up in San Anselmo. He was the ultimate bogeyman."

"People ask me, 'When are you going to make your 'Amarcord?' " Mr. Fincher added, with a little laugh at the comparison to Fellini's autobiographical tour-de-force. For now, he said, "It'll have to be 'Zodiac.' "

Much has been made of Mr. Fincher's "dark eye," his gloomy palette and dim view of human nature, as seen not just in his hits but in his lesser films "The Game" and "Panic Room." And he's had a reputation for cutting-edge special effects and innovative camerawork since, at 22, he directed his first commercial, for the American Cancer Society, featuring a fetus smoking a cigarette in utero, an ad that led to an early career as a top music-video director.

But the source of his dark-hued lens on life, Mr. Fincher suggested, might be as simple as that original bogeyman. "It was a very interesting and weird time to grow up, and incredibly evocative," he said. "I have a handful of friends who were from Marin County at the same time, the same age group, and they're all very kind of sinister, dark, sardonic people. And I wonder if Zodiac had something to do with that."

Mr. Fincher was first approached about "Zodiac" by Brad Fischer, a producer at Phoenix Pictures, with a script by James Vanderbilt. It was based on two books by Robert Graysmith, a former San Francisco Chronicle cartoonist who became obsessed with the Zodiac, and who built a case against one suspect, now dead. Mr. Fincher said he wanted Mr. Vanderbilt to overhaul the script, but wanted first to dig into the original police sources. So director, writer and producer spent months interviewing witnesses, investigators and the case's only two surviving victims, and poring over reams of documents.

"I said I won't use anything in this book that we don't have a police report for," Mr. Fincher said. "There's an enormous amount of hearsay in any circumstantial case, and I wanted to look some of these people in the eye and see if I believed them. It was an extremely difficult thing to make a movie that posthumously convicts somebody."

Mr. Graysmith said Mr. Fincher's team found evidence that investigators had missed. "He outdid the police," Mr. Graysmith said. "My hat's off to them."

With a finished script and a $75 million budget, Mr. Fincher and Phoenix approached Sony, then invited other studios to bid. The most aggressive, Warner Brothers and Paramount, decided to team up. At the same time Paramount invited Warner to share the $150 million budget for "Benjamin Button." So Mr. Fincher agreed to do the two movies back to back.

The result has been a marathon. "Zodiac" required 115 shooting days, about twice the average, though it came in under budget; "Benjamin Button," which is still shooting in New Orleans, will take 150 days, not counting months to complete the illusion of Mr. Pitt's metamorphosis from newborn old man to demented, dying baby.

Perhaps most challenging for "Zodiac," Mr. Fincher said, were the adjustments he made as a director -- both in adopting a quieter visual style and in trying to get the most from his cast.

"It's as unadorned a movie as I've ever made," he said. "It's just people talking, and it's hard to make an audience realize that they have to be paying attention. One way you do that is by not doing very much." There are none of the "perceptual games" that he said he played in "Fight Club," where the subject was "the most unreliable narrator possible," for example. "It was like, cast the movie right, get the script right, shoot the scenes as simply as we can and get out of everyone's way," he said.

Mr. Fincher said the last thing he wanted was for an audience to seize on period details like an avocado-colored rotary phone, or an actor's sideburns, and miss the point of a scene. In several days on the set in San Francisco and Los Angeles in late 2005 and early 2006, he could be seen constantly retaking shots to dim a lamp, remove a too-colorful car, or alter the costume of an extra whose garb seemed lifted from a fashion layout rather than what people really wore.

Mark Ruffalo , who stars as the lead detective, said "Zodiac" was unlike any other Fincher film. "He's just completely gone for the character and the story, and has sort of made that the rule, and not the look," he said. Near the end of filming, Mr. Ruffalo recalled, Mr. Fincher said he'd watched a rough assemblage of about half the movie. "He said: 'I think it's great, but I'm in territory I've never been before. I just don't know if they're going to get it. And that's exciting news: 'Here's my brand, and I'm stepping outside of it.' "

More difficult was changing the way Mr. Fincher worked with, and made demands of, his actors. On "Panic Room" he grew frustrated with his process -- detailed storyboarding and previsualization to diagram a movie shot-by-shot -- because it left little room for discovery, Mr. Fincher said. "It just felt wrong, like I didn't get the most out of the actors, because I was so rigid in my thinking," he said. "I was kind of impatiently waiting for everybody to get where I'd already been a year and a half ago. And I've been trying to nip that in the bud. I felt like I needed to be more attentive to watching the actors."

He added: "Every once in a while there are actors you can defeat."

For Jake Gyllenhaal , who stars in the movie as Mr. Graysmith, Mr. Fincher's attentiveness was a mixed blessing.

Mr. Gyllenhaal said he came from a collaborative filmmaking family: "We share ideas, and we incorporate those ideas." He added: "David knows what he wants, and he's very clear about what he wants, and he's very, very, very smart. But sometimes we'd do a lot of takes, and he'd turn, and he would say, because he had a computer there" -- the movie was shot digitally -- "'Delete the last 10 takes.' And as an actor that's very hard to hear."

Mr. Gyllenhaal, 26, partly blamed culture shock; he'd just finished "Jarhead" for Sam Mendes , who gave him a much freer rein. Mr. Gyllenhaal stressed that he admired and liked Mr. Fincher personally. And he noted that other members of the "Zodiac" cast had far more experience, adding: "I wish I could've had the maturity to be like: 'I know what he wants. He wants the best out of me.' "

That said, Mr. Gyllenhaal spoke candidly about his frustration with Mr. Fincher's degree of control over his performance.

"What's so wonderful about movies is, you get your shot," he said. "They even call it a shot. The stakes are high. You get your chance to prove what you can do. You get a take, 5 takes, 10 takes. Some places, 90 takes. But there is a stopping point. There's a point at which you go, 'That's what we have to work with.' But we would reshoot things. So there came a point where I would say, well, what do I do? Where's the risk?"

Told of Mr. Gyllenhaal's comments, Mr. Fincher half-jokingly said, "I hate earnestness in performance," adding, "Usually by Take 17 the earnestness is gone." But half-joking aside, he said that collaboration "has to come from a place of deep knowledge." While he had no objections to having fun, he said, "When you go to your job, is it supposed to be fun, or are you supposed to get stuff done?"

He later called back and said he "adored the cast" of "Zodiac" and felt "lucky to have them all," but was "totally shocked" by Mr. Gyllenhaal's remark about reshoots.

Robert Downey Jr. , impeccably cast as a crime reporter driven to drink, drugs and dissolution, called Mr. Fincher a disciplinarian and agreed that, as is often said, "he's always the smartest guy in the room." But Mr. Downey put this in perspective.

"Sometimes it's really hard because it might not feel collaborative, but ultimately filmmaking is a director's medium," he said. "I just decided, aside from several times I wanted to garrote him, that I was going to give him what he wanted. I think I'm a perfect person to work for him, because I understand gulags."

Mr. Ruffalo too survived some 70-take shots. "The way I see it is, you enter into someone else's world as an actor," he said. "You can put your expectations aside and have an experience that's new and pushes and changes you, or hold onto what you think it should be and have a stubborn, immovable journey that's filled with disappointment and anger."

He said Mr. Fincher was equally demanding of everyone -- executives, actors, himself. "He knows he's taking a stab at eternity," Mr. Ruffalo said. "He knows that this will outlive him. And he's not going to settle for anything other than satisfaction, deep satisfaction. Somewhere along the line he said, 'I will not settle for less.' "

RIP Audioslave

Well one of my favorite bands Audioslave has called it quits. Chris Cornelle has walked away. I am sure that it has something to to do with Rage getting back together for a show. Too bad they had a great sound.

Maybe we will get another Rage album.

As for the Kings were doing good. Its freaking cold here in the east. I have been spending a lot of time in NY as we are branching out there. We are now in our new place, but still moving in. Its hard to get time to unpack when I am working so hard.

An update of sorts. SO the Kings are all done with the holidays and after the rush of candy and toys, we are enjoying life as always. We are ready for 07 but look at 06 as a good year. So what's new ? you ask? Well I got a Wii for X mas and I love the thing. Wii sports is a sports game that you star in. Totally interactive the Wii controller knows your every swing as you play tennis golf, baseball and others, Its a super fun party game. Santa also brought me the new Zelda game which is Awesome.

We just signed papers for new place for the next year, we have been looking for another place to live out here and nothing is cheap. After looking on our own we gave up and called a realtor and had her find some places for us. After looking at a few homes well I wouldn't call them homes for rent, we looked at a town home that was what we wanted. So the realtor found the perfect place. Its so nice I will feel gulty for living there.well not really. So were moving in next month.

Some things on this move are good. Cheaper and Nicer is always better but were going to be changing wards and we like the ward that were in and the callings that we have are fun, and the people are great. We will miss them and Adi will miss having Hayden in her same class.

Oh I was enjoying my XM radio the other day and heard a artist Regina Spektor funny name and different music but I like it. you might as well. Nothing good on the TV we did watch the Knights of prosperity last night and I liked it, we will see if it will make it.
